Planters
Planters
At Evergreen Landscapes we often get asked to create beautiful planters to create garden features whilst adding variation to the levels, breaking up large areas. We build our planters to last by creating the perfect structure to achieve longevity. We do this by creating the foundations of the planter with concrete flags, levelled and set to create perfect lines that run parallel with the paving. The concrete is then lined and the chosen wood is built around the concrete. This method stops the wood from rotting and warping, ensuring the planters hold their shape and last a lifetime.
To build a sturdy planter that will stand the test of time it is essential to create a solid foundation. We use concrete flags upright which stop the timber from rotting over time.
Once the foundation is set in place, board the concrete flags with treated timber and fill with a good quality topsoil.
Now that the planter has been built and filled with a quality top soil, we can begin to introduce plants. In this example we have used buxus hedges.
